Automated Media Duplication, enables a fully automated migration away from a legacy backup product, allowing for the Server, and the devices that it used to all be decommissioned.
The origin backup application can be decommissioned (if not used by other clients) after all selected workloads have been migrated, and its catalog has been imported into the estination. The duplications will then continue to run until all images have been converted and duplicated, at this point the devices and original media can also be decommissioned.
